School's Out Forever

Andy is just a little jealous that Terry has her

retirement luncheon photos on display, so he thought he'd show off a few of his photos from his wild retirement party in June.

Metro Link Mini Adventure

Andy and Terry decided to celebrate their new "Life After Work" by going on a mini adventure. Terry had some complimentary Metro Link train tickets which she received from the Ride Share Program at work, so Andy and Terry boarded the Metro Train to Union Station, Downtown L.A.

They had never ridden the Metro Link before. The trip only took about 35 minutes and the ride was pretty smooth and quiet. The scenery left something to be desired, lots of commercial buildings and run down houses next to the train tracks, but the trip was really pretty pleasant.

The Union Station area was in very attractive condition.

The gardens and parks were well maintained.

Our first stop was Philippe's Sandwich Shop. We'd never been there before, but we heard nothing but good news about this place so we had to find it and go in to sample the Roast Beef Dip Sandwich in person. We were not disappointed.

After Philippe's, we took a walk through Chinatown,




and headed toward Olvera Street and the church.

After a long morning of sightseeing we returned home in time for a nap.

Back to "Work."

Terry couldn't stay away. On Monday she brought Andy back to "work" to help celebrate Angelina's and Tracy's birthdays. It's like she never left, except she came in at noon and left after lunch to go home and rest.

This cruise hasn't happened yet, but it's only few short weeks away,

Terry's LDOW (Last Day of Work)

On Terry's last official day of work we had a nice luncheon. There was a lot of food, and lots of conversation. Andy showed up, and so did Sonia.

Arlyn said that Terry and Andy "had" to have their own blog to show off their photos. So here it is, the blog that was inspired by Arlyn.

Andy told Darwin that he should give everybody a raise, but he declined.
